During his many voyages, Captain Charlie wrote several books. Unfortunately only two are known to have been published, though several others are suspected. In addition, he wrote various newspaper and magazine articles and columns.

Both of his known works, "Nomad" (in the UK) / "Sailor of Fortune" (in the US), and "Behind the Red Curtain" enjoyed substantial popularity and success, as well as controversy at the time! Images of their covers, and other parts of the books are below.
